8. Hay

The area surrounding Hay is known as the flattest place on earth. For miles this flat plain is - well - flat. No hills or rises - just flat. It looks like this was wheat and rice country judging by the crops that were sown. We also had some of the most beautiful and brilliant blues skies of the trip this day - clean country air.

The town of Hay itself was a small country town. We did not have much time to linger, but did find this wonderful mural of town life painted on a wall there.

As we were leaving, I noticed this interesting stunted tree in a field by itself. This would make a great photo for a chiropractors office.

What other stories could this tree tell?
