If we had to do it all again
Just so we're clear, we have no complaints. It was a fantastic holiday and we enjoyed every minute. Every time we go we grow and learn about ourselves as much as the places we visit. Below is a list of thing we did right and where we can improve on.

| Hired a Thrifty Pajero (Montero) 4wd with an Engal fridge in the back. | Should have taken 5 weeks to cover what we did in 3 weeks. |
| Stayed in Big 4 and Top Tourist caravan parks. | Didn't take advantage of BBQ facilities at caravan parks. |
| Chose the Big Cat BBQ at 10/head rather than $18 or more on the island. | Green Island. The onshore reef is pretty worn out due to overuse. |
| Daintree Rivertrain and Rainforest tour | Not enough time to expore the back part of the Daintree National Park. |
| Chose the right time of year for the dry season in the wet tropics. Nov through Mar has high humidity and torrential rains not to mention stinging jellyfish in the waters.. | Need to stay 2 nights after a big driving day. Limit driving to 200 to 400 km per day rather than the 350 to 700 we did. |
